Human beings are made up of 2 things:
? A body
? A soul
?♂️The body was originally formed from earth and nowadays is made of flesh and bones, so it is worldly in nature. The body needs worldly things, such as food, drink and sleep.
The soul comes from Allah and will return to Allah, so it is heavenly in nature. It therefore requires “heavenly food”, i.e. dhikr, remembrance of Allah. This can be achieved through prayer, reading the Qur’an, studying Islamic sciences, etc.
??The disease?
If a person does not meet the requirements of his body, his psyche or his soul, then a disharmony arises and the body first tries to communicate this to the person through thoughts and desires. However, if the body does not react, then the first symptoms usually develop to tell the person: “Hey, there is a disharmony, change this state”, practically as a message from the body to the person. If still nothing is changed, the body usually becomes ill. If the person now only resorts to medicine, which only suppresses the symptoms for a short time, but does not eliminate them, the illness usually becomes even more intense, so that the person finally changes his condition.
This disharmony can occur in the soul and is usually shown by inner restlessness, emptiness and dissatisfaction.
If this disharmony takes place psychically, e.g. due to stress or an unsatisfactory life situation, it shows itself psychically and physically, among other things through headaches, stomach aches, shortness of breath, dizziness, aggression, etc.
The disharmony in the body itself, e.g. through an organ not functioning properly or bacteria/viruses also shows itself through corresponding physical symptoms, depending on where the disharmony is located.
Illness is also a test from Allah and a redemption of sin.
`A’ischa, Allah’s pleasure be upon her, wife of the Prophet, Allah’s blessings and salutations be upon him, reported that the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings and salutations be upon him, said, “No affliction befalls the Muslim without Allah imputing it to him as atonement (for his sins), even because of a thorn that pricks him.” (See Hadith No.5641 and 5642)
