Conditions of the Ruqyah Ash Shar’iah
Without Shirk (idolatry/polytheism).
The Messenger of Allah said:
It is permissible to make Rukyah but without Shirk (idolatry).
Without a wizard/sorcerer
Allah says:
20:69 {{ …and it will not be well with the sorcerer wherever he may come . }}
It is forbidden to make Ruqyah by means of sorcerers or magic. Whoever does such a thing invalidates his Iman and flies out of Islam.
The one who wants to make Ruqyah (الراقية) must have knowledge on this subject
Allah said :
5:27 {{ Allah accepts only from the God-fearing. }}
The scholars say that ruqyah is permissible with the following 3 factors:
1.) One reads the Qur’an and the supplications of the Messenger of Allah.
2) This must be done in Arabic.
3) The Raqi must understand the meaning of the Qur’an which he reads.
My dear brothers and sisters in Islam,
nowadays you see Ruqaat doing things that you cannot read in Islamic books or what you might hear from the scholars. Yet the person says that he is an expert in that field and to that he cannot even recite the Qur’an correctly. What kind of Raqi is this?
There will be the sequel in the 2nd part, with Allah’s permission.
